Thanks to the 200+ DJs who joined us last year
Beyond the Music Retreat is an educational conference dedicated to helping DJs take their careers to a higher altitude. It offers a variety of panel discussions with some of the brightest minds in the DJ world.
Why are we doing it?
We have been attending music industry events and conferences for years, but none of them have spoken directly to the working DJ. This year, DJcity and DJ/producer Vice have joined forces to host our own annual DJ conference. Our goal is to give back to the culture we love and empower our community.
DJs are constantly in the club and overstimulated by the lights, cameras, and action. We chose a destination where they can come together outside of their normal work environment to engage with and inspire each other in an intimate retreat atmosphere.
Who is it for?
Our goal is to create an environment where every DJ's opinion is valued. All DJs are accepted regardless of his or her resume. That includes beginners who are just starting to plan their DJ roadmap and seasoned veterans looking to elevate their careers. Beyond The Music Retreat provides the resources, tools, and networking opportunities for DJs to connect and grow their careers.

Vice isn’t your average deejay. Named one of “America’s Best DJs,” the LA native may perform on stage at some of the hottest clubs across the country, performing for sold-out audiences in major cities, but his presence can be felt everywhere – from the center of the crowd to the heart of the music that he creates, blends, and produces. Inspired by his many travels, Vice’s music has the distinct ability to take listeners around the world to places such as Ibiza, Tokyo, London and Hong Kong. Whether it’s a fast-paced EDM song or a relaxing poolside beat, there’s a hint of adventure in every song that takes listeners to the various places that Vice has been to. His list of residences includes Marquee (Las Vegas and New York City) and LIV Miami, in addition to performances at Nocturnal Wonderland, Electric Daisy Carnival and Ultra Miami. Vice collaborates with a wide variety of artists, ranging from A-list to indie. He’s worked with everyone from Rihanna, Jason Derulo, Becky G and Jon Bellion.
